Listen To Us is CLASP's training group which started in 2011. Listen To Us was set up by people with learning disabilities to raise awareness of what it is like to have a learning disability.

The group write and deliver disability awareness training. They meet regularly to update their training materials, practice their scripts and develop new training courses. Listen To Us use games and real examples in their training and work hard to make sure it is professional, interesting and enjoyable.

 

Listen To Us provide the following training:

Our Values: This is a 3 hour training course aimed at support workers. The training focuses on 'our values' - the things that are important to people with learning disabilities when being supported.  Click here to read more about it.

Sports For All: This is a 3 hour training course for people who work in sporting environments. The aim of the training is to improve inclusion in mainstream sports for people with learning disabilities. Click here to read more about it.

Coming soon! A learning disability awareness training course aimed at people who work in customer service roles.

Safeguarding: A 2 hour training course for people with learning disabilities that looks at different types of abuse and where to go for support if you think you are being abused. Click here to read more about it.
